In 1969, Pete Weaver moved from Pittsburgh to start Young Life at Bay High School. Shortly thereafter, Tom Hammon moved to Cleveland and stayed on staff for several years, and starting the tradition of what we know now as Cleveland Young Life.
Today, Young Life is active and well in the city of Cleveland. We have leaders in multiple distinct ministries and in 8 different high schools across the area.
Whether it's in Bay Village or Rocky River, Avon or Avon Lake, in schools in every community, Young Life leaders are interacting and being with kids, right in their own neighborhoods.
Since 1970, Young Life leaders have walked with kids and earned the right to be heard in an exhausting and exciting world. This year, hundreds of kids are involved every week all around Cleveland.
